We had a fantastic weekend in Helsinki .. This weekend it was Helsinki's winner and Finnish wins 2018. With almost 100 whippets signed up both days, it was a bit of a competition. Whippet was the second largest breed ..

We was trilled when the judge chose Ch Courtborne Sheldon for today's best male dog with Nordic cac .. C Sheldon became the first scandinavian whippet entitled Nordic Show champion and won the title Helsinki in 2018. the class became Ch Courtborne Sagittarius No. 2 in the champion class and finally best bitch No. 3. Ch Courtborne Hera won a big veteran class and got the title Helsinki Veteran wins 2018, she also became best bitch nr 4 .. In best in show veteran ring there were 150 races she became picked out among the last 10. Something we are very pleased with ..

Ch Courtborne Shiva won the best male dog class with cert and cacib. He joined this Finnish champion and Finnish winner 2018 .. Also Cruft qualified 2019/2020 .. Ch Courtborne Sheldon was No. 2 in the champion class and ended up as Best Male Dog No. 3. Once again, the Ch Courtborne Hera veteran won the title and got the title Finnish veteran wins 2018. Finally BOS veteran ..

NKKs hedersbevisninger 2018
Tradisjonen tro ble det også i år overrakt hedersbevisninger til personer som har utmerket seg i sitt arbeid for og med hund. Gullmerket, sølvmerket og oppdretterprisen deles ut til sentrale og viktige personer i hundemiljøet. Gratulerer så mye til alle.

Kennel Courtborne har drevet med kvalitetsoppdrett av Whippet siden 2000. Kennelen har tidligere også hatt oppdrett av Saluki, med mange champions. De har oppdrettet en lang rekke Whippet-champions. CH Courtborne Sheldon har også oppnådd championat i rasens hjemland, England, hvor det ofte er 3 – 4oo Whippets påmeldt. I tillegg vant de CC på Cruft`s i 2016 med Courtborne Sheldon. Mange av hundene er i tillegg gruppevinnere og BIS- vinnere på både nasjonale og internasjonale utstillinger. De har også eksportert hunder til blant annet Island, og har med dette dannet grunnlaget for rasen der. Kennelen er også aktiv innenfor Lure Coursing-miljøet.

This time when No Se Dk CIB Ch Nordic w 2014 Norwegian w 2014 Courtborne Sagittarius became the top whippet at the Norwegian kennel club this year's breed winner. SHOW NEWS 19.11.2018

Good Monday to you who follow Kennel Courtborne. This weekend it was Nordic winner and Norwegian winner at Lillestrøm. We had some hopeful and some who we had some faith in. Not all premerings were to jump in the roof. But such is the exhibition with other dog sports. It goes up and down :)
Friday started frightfully early, 04.45. This in order to be able to do everything for a day of much hustle and bustle. The results of this day were like this: Courtborne Aprillia won limit clas with ck and became 3 best bitch, Congratulations to Kennel Diva-Or-Tel who owns this great tispa .. Champion bitch our Ch Courtborne Sagittarius was out of place .. Veteran Ch Courtborne Hera became jammen best veteran bitch and got the title Nordisk veteran wins 2018 .. In the male dogs it became the best .. The best result was Ch AD Courtborne Sirius Black who became the best veteran male and got the title Nordisk Veteran wins 2018, owned by Charlotte Johanssen .. He also became BOB veteran.
Over to Sunday and Norwegian winner show 2018

Courtborne Aprilla stood for a great result, winner of the limit class but out of place in the best bitch. Ch Courtborne Sagittarius became No. 3 in the champion class and out of place in best bitch. Ch Courtborne Hera once again won the veteran class and can add The Norwegian veteran wins 2018 in his name .. In the male dogs, Courtborne Brahma became No. 2 in the open class and shortlisted in Best Male Dog (No. 5). Ch Courtborne Sheldon became No. 2 in the champion class and Best Male Dog No. 4. Ch AD Courtborne Sirius Black with one best male dog veteran and Norwegian veteran winner 2018..He also became BOB veteran

Last night Wednesday 22.08
Yes, what should man say .. Ellie ( No Dk Ch Dk Jv 16 AD Hjortronblommas Quick Step ) was enrolled at UHP / AD with very short notice. Thanks for ... Kay Arne Knutsen :) But there is no problem with our dogs when they are to any time well trained. After many days of rain, I showed that this was a muddy trip .. UHP / AD is a test for working clas dogs. 7 Km of a 15-minute break for dogs. New 7 km inlet break of 20 minutes and a new rehearsal of the dogs .. Then the last stretch is 7 km. The whole race will be re-completed at an ideal time. Keeping you between 12-15 km, it's in the box.  Ellie didìt and can now add title AD on her`s pedigree. This is the first whippet bitch in Norway who has done this .. Thanks to www.non-stopdogwear.no for excellent training equipment + omega 3 .. and our super premium dogfood from www.appetitt.com/no. Thanks to Team Nordenfjeldske who welcomes us with a breed that is not working clas dog..Super made..And there we pay one prize, member or not..All be treated equally and with respect..Super gang. We start with our breeder our group who was the one who did the best this day..First we became BOB breeder, and in the big ring, both handlers and dogs worked just off..The rain was por under the finaly and it does not work with whippets any easier .. Yes, then the season for us start, later this year for good reason..Trip to the whippet congres and the 32 National in hunt Wally..

She was so good and understand that the rabbit ( plastic ) was the main thing to Catch.. So she will get on with some straight lanes till, we do not have a bad time. Also send dogs that are too bad on the runway to not understand how to run after a plastic trap. We want our dogs to be 100% sure that they can do this without destroying races for other dogs. Now to think about .. Do not have time with their youngsters .. Neither are dogs suitable for lure coursing .. WHIPPET WORLD CONGRESS 2018. 19.04.2018

Yes, the time for a Whippet congress came. Last time it was in Svergie, Krige year 2008.
​This time we take the big step to fly over to Maryland and Baltimore. There we will meet the right good whippet friends and breeders from the whole world that we appreciate. This congress will be a great experience for us. If you want to get a handful of useful infomarsion about what is happening to our breed around the world, everything from health and history is on schedule. Kristin and Jørgen will meet Kirsten (Kennel Play Mec) at Gardemoen to from there we are 3 pieces in the Journey.
We will try to update the page with useful info as time passes over there .. All info will not get you as it requires hours in front of the PC in the evening :) AWC also organizes this year's national exhibition this week, as far as we know, it's total signed up to 850 dogs for this event .. Possible man gets something with him home: D ..

This weekend is Kristin on extended kynologi course part 2, the course followed by the wonderful couple Per & Vigdis Nymark. Kristin has refurbished breeder school part 1 and 2 through the Norwegian kennel club as well as the kynologi cures that are in collaboration with nkk.

Like many other breeders, we also find that old dogs die .. We are equally happy with all of them .. We are once again this year's whippet on nkk's race list, this is the fourth time and the second time to Ch Courtborne Sagittarius.
The year has consisted of some selected exhibitions and some foolish coursing samples. As many of you have seen, some exhibitions in our local community have not been prioritized. This for some reasons. We would like to thank the training group in Lure coursing Nord / west of a fantastic season with how many excercises have been remeasured,

Thank you very much to all our puppies owners who take good care of their Courtborne dogs, a little extra thanks to Trine who has received Ch Courtborne Rose for the Norwegian Swedish Danish champion this year. Lydia (The Netherlands) Courtborne Ganges who has become Ducth junior champion, missing a cert for the Dutch champion .. Donna (Scotland) who qualified Courtborne Timmy to Cruft's 2018. Selma, who owns Ch Courtborne Rajesh on Iceland, again became Reykjavík for the fourth time ..
Thanks to Lisbeth and Trond Are for giving us the trust worthy of little Coco (Esbelto's Coco Chanel). Yes, it became an Afghan hound. This little beauty has taken many hearts by storm this year. She finished the year With become Junior World winner 2017 and Danish Junior winner 2017 .. Now she will be our little princess next year and will probably show up again in the ring.

​A little sunshine story in the fall darkness. Once again Lukas (No Se Dk Ch No LccH Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic) impresses us again. This time he was reported on a test that we in Norway call UHP. fitness and endurance. The test takes place by bicycle for a stretch of over 20 km.
He passed the test with shine ..
He is then the only whippet in Norway that is show champion, lure coursing champion and AD ..
so now we cross our fingers so that this will be enough to apply for the "Triple Prize" in the Norwegian Whippet Club

What  a wonderful day for Kennel Courtborne .. Our dear Linda Dillan has been in Sundsvall with Ch Courtborne Armani .. Judge of the day was Rudi Brandt (Kennel Frontrunner / Denmark) Armani became second best male with cert and cacib and NEW SWEDISH CHAMPION .. This was Armani's fourth champion title this year .. Congratulations, Our dear Linda.. And with this the mouth stops on some other people who are going to think much and everything about the Courtborne whippet ..

Then the first exhibition of history was conducted by Norwegian whippet club history.
The day was amazing with many beautiful dogs to exhibitors.
We were almost 70 registered for judge Pirjo Muhonen from Finland (Knl Softouch)
The atmosphere around the ring was the way it should be at an Exhibition,,
the Norwegian whippet club spiced a great marzipan cake with a logo as a lid.
We from Knr Courtborne were with some of our dogs.
​ We start with the puppy results: 4 - 6 months: Courtborne Goofy became best male puppy in this class.
In junior male dog Courtborne Vikings-Grim was placed and was placed as 4 best junior.
Youth class No jv 16 Dk jv 16 KbHv jv 16 Courtborne Shiva won the class and later became BOS youth and 3 best dog.
In the champion class we set Ch Courtborne Sheldon. He won a strong champion class to later male dog class.
​Later in the day it was ready for the best in show. Ch Courtborne Sheldon went all the way to becoming BEST IN SHOW 2017. With this he became historic when he was the first in charge of the Norwegian whippet club who hosted there first exhibition as a Club.
​Ch Courtborne Sagittarius won the bitch champion clas and ended up as best bitch nr 2.
​Our swedish girl, Dk jv 16 Hjortronblommas Quick Step win the limit class end became BEST IN SHOW limit class

We can now with certainty tell that Courtborne Penny is pregnant,after today's visit vetrinary to ultrasound.
Father is the great dog Scarnrose Wild Tiger.
He is not compiled out much.
​Penny's are litter sister to the two very famous brothers Courtborne Sheldon who is Norway's first whippet who was bos at cruft`s 2016 and the first Norwegian whippet who managed the feat of becoming champion in England.
The other is Courtborne Rajesh who is this year's whippet on island to have as his brother C.I.B champion. Rajesh is also Reykawik ​​winner 14 - 15 - 16.
Their father again is the handsome Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic, how is Nor Dk See Ch plus No Lc Ch. As the first whippet male in Norway. He is the father of 12 champions to bring the best of themselves to offspring.
​Scarnrose Wild Tiger is by our own Courtborne Diesel-Elendil, who is the father of champions as well.

LC North west. Ch Courtborne Sagittarius is back on track
and soon with lc lisens, you will all she her next year in the ring

​knows how to catch lure, gone be fun to see the future with her

​Our breeding has been quit successful sence we start with whippet in 1997. The first litter was born in 2000 january

On Sunday we had a lovely day at the pug puppy show at Vinnie North Trøndelag

Courtborne Shiva was show in the 4-6 month class
He was placede as nr 1 out of two in the class
​Later he became bob, beat the bitch in the competition.
​The bicth and dog he beat was from the same kennel
He also win the group and ended up as

Some roumer has come to us. Sometime is quit funny that
​another peopel can take the credit of our breeding.
​Some have lost there mind some where down hill :)
​We just smile and keep up our god work.

Lure coursing, we let another owners and breeders board
​our dog Lukas ( Ch Skyborn croosing The Atlantic ) in training and lc lisens run. He was a support dog for 4 dogs how maintain there lisens. So this year we gone start with our now lure coursing dog. Hopeful the same people and breeders do the same for us.  And as the people we are we always say thanks :)

HIGELIGHTS 2015​

We gone try to sumary this year, 2015.
Once again a fantastic year form the kennel.
January we just stay home and rest :) A few puppy show in
the near town.
FEBRUARY.
Starting to organize to the cruft`s trip.
as many of you now we at kennel Courtborne was the
very firste breeder from Norway how show a home breed
dog at the world bigest show.
MARCH.
Then of to Cruft`s. 
we took the train down to Gardemoen and the dog just love the clicki de clack sound from the train. They sleep all way. Around 6 houers. At Gardemoen it start whit the cheek desk. Of to Brussell and sofar so good :) We stay for one night in this beautiful town. Nice hotell and great food.
We drive to Calais next morning with Birmingham in our head. we did not get past the security cheek piont. So then the hunt for a veterinarian start. We find one and thank lord for that :)
So another day at a hotell befor the euro tunel.
Nec show ground and we show Ch C Sheldon and Ch C Sagittarius. Courtborne Sheldon became res in the limit dog clas. Courtborne Sagittarius win a hug limit clas bitch. And she was in the best bitch lineup.

The puppies is now 3 week`s old and developen nice.
Today we was at the last lure coursing training for the year.
Courtborne Sheldon try the field for the first time and it looks like
he gone been somebody ;) on the field.
" Lucas " Ch Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic was agian a fantastic support dog for a new licens dog. We are glad to help another whippet people and bredeers but sometime a " thanks " help if you want to borad a dog later.

We was also second best breeders group

Ch Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic was show by Our dear friend Hans Jonny S Nilsen. They was in the finaly but no placement.

What a fantastic weekend, Skk Køping int dog show.
For race special Nenne Runsten we show  Ch Courtborne Hera for the first time after the puppies.
Hera was best bitch and later BOB with cacib.
In the group finals she went all the way up and was placed as number one,
Ch Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic was best male No. 4.
Ch Courtborne Ares were also in the champion class where he was No. 4 with cq.
Courtborne Armani was No. 2 in the limit class with cq.
After the final we were assigned a hotel room by the organizer of the exhibition.

Sunday arrived and BIS finals started, 9 great dogs in the ring.
Ch Courtborne Hera was placed as BEST IN SHOW 4.
58 whippet entry & total 2994 dogs at the show.

The perusal of LC results Sona we see that "Lucas"
Ch Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic is the total
best male dog in both classes ( nat / int )
He was also a total number 2 of all runners whippets.
Only beaten by a bitch from int class. ( total 38 )
This indicates that those who go around talking about poor conditioning to poorly trained dog, once again are wrong.
He has started two times and with this won a  lc cert.

We are stiller waiting at Ch Courtborne Sagittarius Will
come into heat. This Will be her's first litter and
Ch Softouch Little Big Man last litter. 
We have decide to not let him mate anyone ealse after this litter.
So now we are resting at the camping and waiting for the next show at 
Køping - Stømsholm and Svenstavik.

On Saterday Chaplin placed him self as best male nr 2. And Zuki as best bitch nr 3 With res cac on both dogs 

Sunday became a much better day for us :)

Danish & Nordic champion. Zuki win her junior clas and ended up as best bitch With cac, no cacib ( 13 month old )

Last weekend we drive over to Bergen. We had made entery two show
Nkk int Bergen and Nmk Bergen & omeng. 
On Saterday we was at the int show, In the male ring we had sigh up
Skyborne Croosing The Atlantic ( Lucas ) and Ch Softouch Little Big Man ( Chaplin )
Both win there class, Lucas became best male and win his last cac to the Norwegian & Swedish champion titel
Chaplin ended up as best male nr 2 and bob veteran.

 Hi ..A fewweeks since the lastupdate.
We have been on the Norwegian Kennel Club show with the following results.
No Se Ch Softouch Little Big Man (Chaplin) was best male No. 2
No Se Uch Courtborne Hera (Hinata) best female No. 2 
and No Se Dk Nord Fin Ch No Lcch Courtborne Little-Gilwen best female No. 4

The weekend there on so we sat in the car with directionTurku and Finland.
The trip over went through Umeå and ferry to the Vasa, with accruin grun trip by ferry for 4.5 hours.
Not a trip to recommend to us who live in the middle of Norway ..
Drive to Stockholm to take the ferry to Turku, bette rferry and shorter trip:) we learn as long as man lives...

The results ofthis exhibition: No Se Ch Softouch Wild Eagle (Topaz) best male No. 4
In female ring we showed,Courtborne Eros Beata solitiune (Chanti) 
and No Se Uch Courtborne Hera (Hinata) 
both won their class and best bitch Chanti was best bitch with CC and CACIB,Best Bitch no 2 Hinata with res-cac
and res-cacib

Sorry for the late update. We have been beasy in the last month.
First, Ch Courtborne Rock-A-Hula Baby is pregnat :) The puppies will be born around August 3th

Some show news.
We was at Oppdal dog club early in June.
Courtborne Hera became bob with cac and new Norwegian & Swedish champion, she also win the group :)
Softouch Little Big Man ended up as best male and bos.

We drive the long way down to Gran form the big Sighthound show here in Norway
Hinata ( Ch Courtborne Hera ) became best bitch nr 2 with r-cac on Saterday, and
Chaplin ( Ch Softouch Little Big Man ) became best dog 3 at the same day. A couple off week later
we was in Drammen at the Kennel Klub show, Hinata ended up as best bitch nr 4 with r-cacib.
Back home i Trondheim and another sighthound club show on Sunday, saterday we had the int dog klub
where Hinata became bob with cacib and later that day she win the group, under judge Lisbeth Campell
sighthound club was judge by Nenne Runsten. She pick out Chaplin to best dog 3 :) and in the bitch clas she put Hinata
as best bitch and also Bob.. Inn the best in show ring Nenne put Hinata as BEST IN SHOW winner :)
We also show our male puppis, Softouch Double Rainbow how became bob and best in show puppie 3
Skyborn Crosing The Atlantic and Skyborn Image Of Light in order as nr 3 and 2.
On day 2 off the kennel club show we had to return with Hinata for the best in show.. The judge 
set up Hinata as BEST IN SHOW nr2. Skyborn Crosing The Atlantic was best whippet puppie and ended up
as BIG3.

From Denmark with get this news from Mona and Steinar: Ziza ( Ch Courtborne Little-Gilwen ) became

Back home from Harstad..
We had a great weekend with our nice puppy owners.
Back and home we have around 1800 km, soo it`s along way for a show :) The driving was
quit raining and ower the "Saltfjellet" we had quit a lot with snow..
But the show results was great.

We begin with the breeder,kennel Courtborne the breeder of the year No. 4
At this year's females Rockies placed Courtborne Hera as No.2:) she was also best bitch nr 7.This is only 4 countingexhibitions in Sweden.Further down the list is ChCourtborne Little-Gilwen as No.20. 
 At this year's Rockies male placed Courtborne Angels Of Raphael as No.7 Congratulations to the owner of "Riki" Fia.At this year's veteran dog list placed it in 3 courtborne dogs.In place No.2,Ch Courtborne Ramazotti, with only 4 countshows ( beaten with 1 point )
In place No. 10 we find Ch Courtborne Jazz-Frodo and No.15 were Ch Courtborne Sir Duncan

This year the weather was little better than it was in 2010..Only a little rain the night of Sunday:)
On Thursday, there were dogs that were in the ring.
Courtborne Sai was No.4 inits class, owner Ilona Karlson
In the junior class was Courtborne Angel Of Raphael No.1 and the day after he was BOS junior.
Owner Fia Eldh.
In the champion class we showed Ch Softouch Wild Eagle but was unplaced.
The senior class was Ch Courtborne Sir Duncan No.1 and the day after bos senior
Ch Courtborne Ramazotti was best male 3 and best in show veteran

On Friday was the females turn..Courtborne Hera was best junior bitch and later best female 3.In the finalring, she was bestin show junior

Kennel Courtborne show the following dogs but was unplaced in his classes.
Courtborne Walk The Line,Ch Courtborne Jazz-Glorfindel ,Ch Courtborne Shania and grandold lady Ch Paper Moon`s Parisian Mam`sell,she was the show's oldest dog:)
